I'm sure there is another topic but its buried a few pages back. So a new topic emerges. I saw the movie last night and I thought it was actually pretty good. Anyone else plan on seeing this one?

Kevin Smith movie right? I'll probably end up seeing it when it's on DVD, since I'm broke as hell(And too far from the nearest theater) at the moment to be able to see it now.

I saw it this afternoon and was thoroughly entertained. Could have done without that one scat bit, but all and all a pretty good Smith film. Justin Long killed in his extended cameo. He needs to be in more movies.

I haven't been to the theater in months. This movie has a 0.000% chance of making me go.
I will end up renting it though.

I will probably pirate this in 8 months or something. Just like every other Kevin Smith movie.

Haven't seen it yet, and might be too cheap to see it in theatres.
I do intend on viewing it at some point, big Kevin Smith fan.

Except Office Space is leagues better than Keven Smiths movies.

Yeah?
What is your point?
I don't give a fuck about how well a film does in the theaters. I enjoy watching it at home. In fact, I would prefer if movie theaters all went away and movies only came out via home theater. I would get them faster.
So there.

Well... movies take a lot of money to make. So in order to make that money back and make it profitable so they can KEEP making movies of that magnitude they require tickets to be sold in theaters. If theaters were done away with it would be very expensive to rent movies or watch from home. Plus the experience would not be nearly as good as in theaters and the budget for such films would go way down. With your theory - every movie that would come out would be poor quality, low budget, and cost a lot to watch and probably not be worth it. However, in your defense, I understand that 9 dollars to watch something for 2 hours hardly seems worth it unless movies are really your thing. Which, for me, movies are a great form of both art and entertainment.
As far as Zack and Miri goes, I liked it. The jokes were typical Kevin Smith which can be either very funny or very unfunny. But the story was actually pretty enjoyable to follow. I'd recommend seeing it at some point in your lives.

If I got to buy/rent movies as soon as they came out I would be willing to pay 25%-50% more for them.
I wouldn't want to see the quality drop though.

Saw it. Loved it. Then, I've loved every Kevin Smith movie I've seen. And I think the only one I haven't seen is Jersey Girl.
And it was only a matter of time before Jason Mewes showed his cock on screen.

...and don't come back until you find the cure for erectile cancer.
It took me a while to get into Kevin Smith (When I first saw Clerks, I was like "...huh?" but then I saw it again, and I suddenly got it and fell in love with it). I currently don't have the 15+ dollars a trip to the movie requires (ticket, refreshments), and I'm not a huge movie buff to begin with, but if I had the money, I would make this my "go-to" movie.

Uuuuuuuugh, Jersey Girl...
Don't see it. There are some hilarious parts, but overall it was too...I don't know, happy and shit. Too much talking, not enough funny.
