Has anyone bought used games from GameStop online before? If so, how often has the game been missing the box and/or instruction booklet? In the day of hard plastic cases, I don't see how the fuck someone can lose the box.

Both times I did it didn't come with the box or instructions. I ordered a used copy of Wind Waker because mine was lost, like they didn't have a copy in the original case lying around somewhere those assholes. Not only that both games I got from them were treated with a scratch remover but they wouldn't buy that shit from me. I tried to sell a game that had been treated and they wouldn't take it. I say don' t do it.

Yeah, Gamestop sucks when it comes to buying used games online, never know what your getting. I ordered Mark of Kri from them a few years back (got a manual but no case) and had to exchange it 3 times before they sent me a copy that not only worked, but didn't look like someone had been testing a power sander on it.

EB Games (before the buyout) was usually the place to get used stuff, everything I got from them online was always complete and it great shape. Man, I miss that place, they had the best deals on Black Friday.

Yeah, same thing here. The front of the disc was stripped of it's gloseyness like someone used sand paper on it. What the hell do they do that for?

Try Estarland. Sometimes they have games that come with the manual, case, and everything.

The only way to be sure if it comes with the box and instructions is actually go into the store and see for yourself. I was able to get a copy of Portrait of Ruin (near mint condition with case and manual) on ebay for cheaper than gamestop was selling it with a generic case and no manual so I'd say that's the way to go.

I hate Gamestop. There's an independent game store that's opening in my town, and if they're at least somewhat better than Gamestop, then I'm giving them all of my business.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.
