Just watched this. Loved it. For me, it was like a throwback to the 80's/90's teen karate/fighting movies. You know, new kid gets his ass kicked by the bully (and the bully always knows martial arts, unlike real life), learns to fight, kicks the bully's ass. All the while its in a modern setting playing on the current popularity of MMA.

Other people should take note. If you are fan of a certain brand/genre/era, instead of remaking something that is fine the way it is, make a new movie based on a similar idea. For example, instead of remaking a movie, say TCM/Halloween/etc., make your own slasher film.

Anyways, loved the movie.

I havent got a chance to watch it either. Also the "You Got Served" thing affect me too.

Plus, if there isn't Miyagi The Second Coming, why bother?

I thought it was pretty good. I haven't watched You Got Served, but I thought it was pretty on par with its high school martial arts pedecessors.

I didn't see it, honestly, I thought it looked fucking retarted.

It's a movie my sister liked I think, therefore it is probably shit, it looks like the teenage drama garbage that high school girls eat up in droves.

You make it sound ok, but I can just about guarentee I will not touch this with a 10 foot pole.

EDIT: The commercials fucked it for me, made it look just terrible.

Was this movie ever in the theater?

I imagine it will make its way to HBO or something eventually if it didn't already pass through.

I'll watch it if it does end up on premium channels.
