I'd be pissed if aika was replaced by somebody else without any actual consequences. That would be like the Voyager episode "Deadlock" where Harry Kim gets killed, but another Harry Kim from a duplicate Voyager makes it to the ship before the duplicate gets destroyed, thus replacing the dead Ensign Kim like nothing had happened. Man, that sucked.

Are you thinking of the DS9 where O'Brien is replaced by the clone, but the clone thinks he's the real O'Brien and is weirded out by everyone else treating him oddly?
EDIT: No, wait, it's the one where he gets some time travel disease and ends up getting replaced by his future self.

And at least that was technically the same O'Brien. And the episode wasn't part of Voyager, so that gives it a much higher awesome score by default. Christ, Voyager is boring.

I seem to recall them doing something incredibly similar in both Andromeda and Farscape. I remember they did it in Sliders at least. They replaced the main character with an alternate universe version of himself, played by the same actor, same mannerisms, acted the same, just with shorted hair.

If you're talking about Trance Gemini being replaced by a future version of herself in Andromeda, that was different. The future her was darker in character and much more confident.
