Worst truly BAD movie

What's the worst truly bad movie you've ever seen? There was a topic kinda like this before, but lemme revise the criteria a little...

I'm talking about genuine garbage -- films with few, if any, good qualities. If you suggest anything that got a major studio release, I will laugh at you. Here's just one to get us started:

Blood Shack, directed by Ray Dennis Steckler. From the director of "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies". Terrible production value, acting, and story. Also, like 30 minutes of rodeo footage added to pad out the run time. That being said, whoever cut this trailer for the Media Blasters release deserves a raise:

Gordy, the pre-Babe talking pig movie. I hate it enough that I won't go looking for clips.

Oh come on, guys. A Disney movie and a film starring Warren Beatty? If those are the worst movies you've ever seen, you haven't seen anything. I have films that will make you cry.

The only movies I've ever fallen asleep during are Superman Returns and Final Fantasy: Spirits Within, so I'd probably go with one of those. In my opinion, being boring is worse than being a poorly edited, poorly acted, poorly conceived movie. When a movie is that terrible, it becomes entertaining by virtue of unintentional hilarity.

Battlefield Earth was probably the worst one that I've seen that I could remember, though TMNTIII made me fall asleep when I was a kid.

I won't argue with that; up there on my list is the Hollywood flick Exorcist II. However, some movies go so far that they're not even unintentionally funny. Any "worst movie ever" list gets tons of "Batman and Robin" and "Gigli" entries, so I wanted to narrow it a bit.

I mean, I dare you to even chuckle at "Beast of Yucca Flats." Maybe once at Tor Johnson, but after that you want to claw your eyes ot.

Hangmen 'starting' sandra bullock and the Tom Hanks abomination: Mazes and Monsters. I'd also like to add anything MST3K does without the guys riffing it though.

The unreleased 1994 Fantastic Four film was fairly brutal. Very slow-paced, almost no action because there wasn't a budget for it.

Aw man, I LOVE that movie -- from the unintelligible Dr. Doom to the ripped-off-of-Jurassic Park score. Very Happy

Does 40 Days and 40 Nights count? I swear to God I hate that movie so much. SPOILERS:

I'll let this comic do the talking:

EDIT: Dammit, I noticed the "major studio release" part in the beginning. Laugh all you want, my opinion remains unchanged.

What about the 1980 Flash Gordon?

Dont give me this "oh, Queen did the soundtrack, and Flash Gordon is supposed to be a B movie" bullshit.

"Who are you?"

"Flash Gordon, quarterback New York Jets"

*shivers*

EDIT: Didnt see the whole major studio release thing.

I saw Xanadu?!?!

Batman and Robin have been horrible, but he means really bad. B&R was unintentionally hilarious, and Uma Thurman was hot. Two good things.

let's have a toast to the douchebags

Another reason I mention Hangmen and Maze & Monsters because of false advertising:

Image
What you think at first glance: Think your going to watch a feel good movie about Tom hanks fighting dragons in a maze
What it actualy is: Anti-D&D propoganda which fails hilariously.

Image
What you think at first: An action movie with Sandra Bullock
What it actually is: A Z-movie with Sandra playing the role of "Panicky girlfriend" and gets 5th bill on the acting list: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093142/

Also, i think it was thanks to you Dark Maze, i saw turkish starwars and . . . a little part of me died but it was worth it to see all the campyness.

Yeah, I get a kick out of the marketing of re-releases when an actor playing a tertiary character suddenly makes it big. See also "Master Ninja" (aka "The Master") STARRING DEMI MOORE! Wink

My copy of Mazes & Monsters (the only movie I've ever wanted to burn) is just the old VHS version, but I have to admit I love the re-release artwork. Note that the picture of Tom Hanks is about 10 years older than he is in the movie. Also note that it contains not a single shot of the actual movie.

Glad to hear you enjoyed (Wink) Turkish Star Wars. Did you know there was a sequel made in 2006?

Also, way to go, King! Time of the Apes is a great choice - a Planet of the Apes knock-off made extra bad by being edited down from an entire TV series.

I remember you mentioned on another thread there would be a sequal . . .Shudder. I actually met a turkish chick on campus and really wanted to ask her what she thought of turkish starwars? But she was solid valley girl and so freaking hot i didn't want to come off as a nerd . . . well not too nerdy anyway Wink

Going off of Syd's "Fell Asleep" criteria, then for me it would have to be "Ultraviolet". I fell asleep, not once, but 2 different times watching that film!
