I know, I know, everyone in the world disagrees with me. I'm a 'bama fan too. If only those guys would start winning more than they lose...

I'm a disgruntled Mizzou fan and a happy Miami fan.
I hate KU. Fuck them. But just so I am clear with the Mods, Paul Pierce is a great guy.

Go Irish!
I hang my head in shame.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

I really like Notre Dame. I don't know its because I'm Irish, or because my dad was a fan, or because one of my best friends was a big fan. But I loved them. Then sometime in the early 90's, for whatever reason (I was probably just being a frontrunner), I became a Hurricane's fan. I still like Notre Dame, but not as much as Miami or Mizzou (I'm from Missouri).

THE Ohio State University. Coming from a Penn State student. I love college football more then the NFL, mainly because I like the Detroit Lions and they haven't been GOOD since 91. The kids in College Football are playing to make it big, so the games are a lot more exciting to me. OSU is going to go to the NC for the 3rd straight year boys!

I have to have one good team! Cleveland Indians = suck, Detroit Lions = THE SUCK, Cleveland Cavaliers = meh, Ohio State = AWESOME. Everyone deserves one.

Don't they (OSU) play USC this year? I doubt they'll make the NC over any other BCS conf. team with the same number of losses, simply based on the fact that they were blown to shreds in the previous 2 NC games.

Blown to shreads in 1 NC, losing by 2 touchdowns, considering how the game went in the first quarter. We went score for score with LSU after that. Plus if you go undefeated I doubt there is going to be any question. USC and Wisconsin are the 2 games I'm worried about, and now that Booty is gone from USC I'm less nervous.

I was going to ask if you weren't concerned about Michigan, but you guys seem to have their number lately.

I still think 2 years ago it should have been Michigan and OSU in the NC. That was such a great game to end the season, I would have loved to see the rematch. Instead we get to rest for almost 2 months and get clobbered by Florida.

I'm sure you would've rather had Michigan as an opponent after the fact. I'd feel the same way.
By the way, I think all these people picking Georgia to go to the NC game are crazy: they have to get through Florida, and they look like they'll be pretty unstoppable. But I suck at predictions, so I don't know.

Well, was that the same Florida team that waxed OSU in '06? If the '08 team is the same as the '07 team, the '07 team should be the same as the '06 team.

No the '06 team lost a lot of key players, Teboe is the only real threat on that team anymore. And Florida got waxed by Michigan who got shutdown by OSU so your logic will need some tweeking.

My point was simply that you seem to put too much emphasis on last year when discounting my prediction for this year (not that you shouldn't consider last year, just don't rely so heavily on it.) For example, In 2005 Alabama beat florida 31-3. That's 4 TD's, and UF lost a couple of other games as well. The next year, they won the NC. I don't think UF will be in the NC game either, I just think they'll beat UGA. In fact, I don't think any SEC team will be in the NC game this year.

I look forward to it. As long as we can keep cool heads about it, it should be fun.

I root for two teams: Michigan and Virginia. And with Virginia, I usually expect the annual beatdown from Virginia Tech every year.
