Even if the kid is joking, the arguments against the game make no sense yet aren't nearly absurd enough to not be taken seriously. Contra gives you no indication of where to go or what to do? Neither does Super Mario Brothers, but you know just to head right until you hit a goal or a boss.
I can't get over that long stretch of him pushing the camera over and dicking around with the cords to get the game to work. At least the real AVGN had the decency to have smooth transitions.
And that voice... first rule of YouTube videoeering... make sure your voice doesn't fill people with inexplicible rage.

Okay, so I watched this video like three times and I tried to play Contra. Imagine my surprise when I actually beat the game.
I admit, I used the code. But I still had 15 or so lives left when I finished.
I'm going to record my run-through and send it to that kid. I'll even play with a keyboard.
