Video game related videos are the only thing i really watch on youtube anymore (other then MST3k) and i only subscribe to though i think are worth watching. The irate gamer has his moments, like most other game reviewers. AVGN is not funny all the time and neither is irate. however, i will say this about irate, i swear he rip off a clip from AVGN in his TMNT reivews, go watch them, it's the scene with the pizza that is impossible to get.

Also, i've seen other reviewers other then AVGN do a better job with a game then irate. The biggest beef i have with irate is that he bashes good games, case in point super mario brothers 2 and TMNT 2. He actually bitches about the fact that TMNT 2 does not have the same stellar graphics as the arcade version and that it doesn't support 4 players. First off, expecting those kind of graphics from an NES is like expecting X-box360 graphics from an Atari Jaguar and the TMNT 2 (came out 1990) and the Four Score came out the same year but very few games were made for it. If the Irate gamer is going to bitch, he could at least say "why the fuck wasn't this game made for the Four Score, damnit!"

The thing about game reviews is that some people out there will take it seriously and avoid the game being bashed and if irate bashes good games then he is defaming them to the point where no kid nowadays will bother emulating the game and at least trying it out.

And the Nerd is stepping on thin ice with me too, because in one of his intro scenes, he's holding Mischief makers, one of my favorite N64 games . . . i'm looking forward to what good things he has to say.
