Not bad, imo It's George's take on 1984 just like Willow was his take on TLOTR.
Go pick it up, it'll kill some time and is worth the 8 or so $ it's priced at.

Not to mention boring as fuck. I only watched it because my brother told me it was George Lucas' first film, but first efforts aren't always good. I found it to be a far cry from Star Wars. I wanted to watch a movie, not look at wallpaper.

I'm with jprime on this one. I've never been able to make it past 15 or 20 minutes.

It's a better movie than any of my peers (and myself) made in film school. UCLA has something on Chi-Town I guess. Sad

I'm a sucker for visually stunning sci-fi movies without much dialog, that don't try to explain everything to the audience. So I really like THX-1138. The 2004 Director's Cut even more so than the original.

It's also a huge running joke in Star Wars; so many ships, droids, and troopers have 1138 somewhere in their names/designations.

In all fairness, most movies are a far cry from Star Wars. But I haven't watched it yet.

And speaking of first efforts, how many of you like Spielberg's Duel? Its one of my all time favorite movies.

Really slow and boring. I've seen it too. I don't know why I originally sat through it. That was a bad idea. I know it wasn't so I could post about it now years later Smile
