I got a letter in hte mail today explaining that the Quiznos I work at has been closed effective immediately. It was a smaller one, about 7 people on staff, owned by a man and his wife. He was a good boss, very understanding if you had to get a day off and whatnot. It's justk ind of sad, it was my first real job and it's just so sudden, until today I thought I was still working tomorrow. Anyway, that's all really, just wanted to share, no I need to job hunt and it's not going to be that easy.

It was closed because we wern't getting enough people.

Too make enough money so that it was a viable business, he needed 25 tickets(orders) per person per day, so he needed 100 a day and on good days we would get that or over or close, but most days we were not hitting that number and he had already invested his own money to keep the store going and they had no more money left to keep it running because they weren't gasining money from it I guess.

Thanks, I hope I can get a new job, my best friend basically got me that job so now i have to go about it the normal way and just send in a lot of resumes places and hope for the best.

Sucks you didn't get two weeks notice or two weeks pay (or did you?)

Not knowing anything about your situation, have you considered a cushy night job? (hospital night staff, security guard, etc.).

I worked full time in a crazy hospital and a retard hospital while I was in school, and it was great. Reading books, playing Gamepark. Once I got on a dorm with no rats I started bringing my Gamecube, or we'd take turns sleeping.

I couldn't do any nigh stuff. I'm 16 and still in school lol, probably hsould have mentioned that.

No two weeks notice, this was a pay week so we still get paid for the work we have done, i don't think anything extra though. It was more like 1 days notice if that.

Richo, I would strongly prefer if you didn't refer to it as a 'retard' hospital (or a 'crazy' hospital for that matter). I seriously find that word very offensive.

The same just happened to a bunch of People here in Oregon. Chili's Resturaunts closed down most of thier locations, and rather than warn anybody, they just locked the doors. All the employees came to work and couldn't get in, and didn't know why.

Pretty shitty thing to do.

If a company knows they are in financial trouble, then they need to let thier employees know in advance. It should be a law. Because, that's time wasted that they could have used to find new employment and not get screwed over, and now have to spend days/weeks/months without paycheck. Especially people like single moms who have kids.

Man the Quiznos here In Bloomington recently closed down too. Just when I was starting to like their sandwiches too.

I blame the karma of that annoying commerical.

We never even served prime rib on garlic bread, Quiznos US and Quiznos Canada don't serve things in harmony, people see the American commercials and come in asking for shit we don't have, stupid fucking quiznos corperation.

The prime rib on garlic bread was good. So is the prime rib ranchero, but I don't usually get it cause it costs 9 freakin dollars for a regular. Also, I'm pretty sure their "prime rib" is just some sort of fancy pastrami. My favorite was the honey mustard chicken on ciabatta, but they fucked that up when they stopped carrying ciabatta bread.

haha, well we never carried the prime rib on garlic or the ranchero, we did have a Beef and Swiss melt on garlic, but it was really jsut a garlic sauce added.

I won't eat there again I don't think, far too expensive

Everything at quiznos contains red onions, no fucking new ideas. Rolling Eyes

Get a chicken carbonara, and replace the mushrooms with olives, its the only decent thing at Quiznos.

At mine onions and veggies are optional and if you want different veggies or all of the veggies we have you can add them at no charge.

Chicken Carb with zesty grill sauce added on cheese bread was the best or second best, the other being the Beef and Swiss, usualy with prime rib and maybe some zesty, fuck I'm going to miss that
