I must have missed the boat on the whole pokemon thing. Never played any of the games or watched the show. I only know the ones that have been playable in smash bros, and I can't say I really care for them either.

I was in that targeted age group the show aimed at in grade 4-5. I loved that show, and the games as well.
It's kind of geeky, but in grade six when i was out of the show, I picked the game up again. Not so much because it was Pokemon, but because I could catch these creatures and train them and pick what new attacks they could use and then beat the hell out of other peoples pets with them. The story wasn't particularily could, but the pokemon themselves were interesting.

I played the shit out of the card game the GB Red and Blue versions, and the GBC Pokemon Trading Card game.
I remember exactly how I got my Charizard. Eight dollars and a game boy link cable. I then immediately kept it and sold it about a year later for $150.

I didn't know panda's had school.
JRA ~ That gif is the funniest shit ever.
On Topic: I stopped playing anything pokemon related when Super Game Boy lost it's presence. I own the one for Wii but that doesn't count because I haven't played it.

Why thank you good sir.
I'll tell you what's not funny though. That VGcats site. I've been plowing through most of the comics and most of them are just stupid
Sole exception:
Addendum: Now I have nothing against gays, but I do not ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER want to see Shredder and Krang as a couple again.

I played Red and Blue (which I now know is actually the Japanese Green version) on a green Game Boy Pocket I got for Christmas. I dropped out of playing them before the Gold/Silver/Crystal era because I lost contact with anyone else I could play with.
I got back into the games when a friend of mine went with me to GeStoppo and picked up Battle Revolution. When I saw I could play against friends and even other people online (though some jerks do hack insanely broken monsters) I decided to get back into them by getting LeafGreen (a remake of Blue for the G3 era, adding personalities, more moves, and special qualities like being Levitation) so I could transfer those pokemon over to Pearl once I got a DS.
Long story short, I got a DS because of Pokemon Pearl and am going by Toys R' Us Sunday afternoon to pick up Darkrai (Number 491 of 493).

Pocket Monsters Midori, the game known stateside as Pokemon Green despite never having been released here, is NOT Pokemon Blue. While its true that Pocket Monsters Red and Pocket Monsters Midori were the first two Pokemon games released in Japan in February of 1996, Pocket Monsters Blue was also released in Japan, debuting in October of 1996. Much like Red and Blue have slightly different Pokemon rosters, Midori's roster is not exactly the same either. However, Nintendo felt that Midori's roster was too similar to Blue, so when they released Pokemon stateside in 1998, they felt that Blue and Red would be sufficient as all 150 Pokemon were available between the two games.
So Blue does not equal Green. Unless you're referring to the character Blue aka Gary aka John, who is indeed known as Green in Japan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29

Lucario is basically Mewtwo Lite. I kinda wish they had kept Mewtwo because even though there's been about a million legendary Pokemon with ULTIMATE POWER, I still consider Mewtwo to be the most powerful Pokemon ever. He was just so badass back in the day.

Damn right he was! Nobody fucked with Mewtwo man...had him and a Dragonite in my party and I never once lost to anybody in my town.
To be fair though, most people here were pretty damn stupid and kept trying to earthquake my Dragonite to death.

He's in a happier place now....prison lol.

I have Pokemons Blue, Yellow, Silver, and Fire Red... yet the only one I've ever seen through to completion, I think, has been Blue. I might've gotten pretty far on Yellow, too...possibly. This is because of two reasons that I will now explain in detail:
The Fire Starter Theorem - Any Pokemon game that does not contain Charmander inherently, and by extension, Charizard, is not worth my time and energy.
The Second Gym Effect - I will lose interest in a Pokemon quest soon before, during, or after entering the second gym city. This is named because it usually happens right around time to fight Misty in Cerulean.
By the time they got to the Ruby generation, I totally gave up. I might get Pokemon Diamond if it goes down in price (it won't) or if someone gets it for my birthday, but it's not really a priority.
The first generation was best. Except for some stragglers in the other gens, it's the only generation I know anything about. ...God, I'm old.

My Sydapedia page lists my game collection and friend codes, if you're interested. |

Most of the pkmn in the DS games look really fucked up like the evolved form of Electrobuzz. I think its name is Electrojizz or something anyway it looks fucking retarded its kinda like Electrobuzz on steroids and has retarded red-ish eyes
Either way I've owned Ruby version and a soon as FireRed came out I traded it. At least FireRed is more like the originals
I also had Yellow, Silver and briefly Blue and Gold

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.
Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.
