I noticed earlier today how I had written "made a pass at" instead of "passed on" in this post. Which means, of course, something completely fucking different. I corrected it now, but I'm still embarrassed. Since I'm not a native speaker, I ask you to please tell me when I write shit like that, so I don't have to feel like an idiot when finding out. Thank you.

Ah hah dammit! I had originally typed something else but I forgot to go back n change that. Embarrassed

I never learned German but my friend randomly gave me a dirty German book. I never took a day of German in my life but from that I learned to say important, everyday phrases such as "Ich bin doch noch Jungfrau!"

What's your first language, username?

And "Gesundheit" means "health" in German. As it does in Yiddish BTW, which is kind of a hybrid between German and Hebrew. The practice of saying Gesundheit after somebody sneezes probably passed into mainstream English via German-Jewish immigrants.
