But sometimes movies that fall under this can actually be solid if they pull it off better than the rest.

Well, when its all said and done, I'll probably just wait until it comes out on DVD. There was actually some martial arts style fighting movie, can't remember the name, that reminded me of the good fight movies from the late 80s, early 90s, kind of like Only the Strong, that looked like it might be good that I'd rather see anyways.
But truth be told I don't make it to the movies that much. When I do, I usually have to compromise with the old lady. So to avoid romantic comedies I usually get her to agree to movies like 21, or the occaisional thriller.
But I've got well over a thousand movies at home, so staying at home and watching old movies is never a problem. I've even got several I haven't got to watch yet. So I've got catching up to do here anyways.

Yeah I have a lot of movies. I'm kind of obsessed. But out of everything I have, the biggest ones I haven't watched yet are the LOTR trilogy. A lot of the ones I haven't watched are like the dollar movies from wal-mart.

"Rounders" was about Texas Hold 'em.
I liked 21. I play Blackjack and am pretty good at it. It didn't go into detail about card counting, but that was probably intentional

Anyway. Movies are soooo damn expensive these days that I don't want to waste the money unless it's some sort of action adventure that deserves to be on a big screen. If it's something lacking in a ton of CGI or whatever (21 is NOT an action adventure), then there's no harm in just watching it on cable at home.
I was reading the wiki article on 21 and it rambled on a lot about the controversy behind the real story and the Hollywood adaptation, which replaced most of the people who were originally asian with white people. I think there's only like two asians in the group for the movie? Whatever. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to sell movies.

So very true. I think that's hilarious. But know what? People WOULD'VE complained and all because they were ill-informed. So sad...
