...I noticed something.
The value of the jackpot (received by shooting the left ramp during multiball with one ball locked) doesn't reset on game over. Until you get it, or reset the game, it continues to grow.
Will this be an issue? It should be fair so long as everyone knows about it.

Great. Now everyones high scores who didn't reset between tries are garbage.

Well, there's two ways to do this.
1) Declare it cheating and throw out everyone's score who didn't play from a hard reset. This will piss a lot of people off and possibly require throwing this week out or extending it another week. I don't think that's a good idea.
2) Declare it strategy and allow it. That's why I posted it, so it would be public knowledge. Heck, nobody probably noticed it in the first place. Besides, it only helps you collect a higher first jackpot, and if you're good enough to "abuse" it, you really don't need it.

You're right. It is easy to crank up the bonus. I really don't care. Either way. Syd/Douche's call. I'm fine either way. Its just a game to me. For the ones who figured it out and exploited it, good for them. For those who used it and didn't even know it, awesome. It doesn't bother me. Then again, if they extend it, I don't have a problem with that either. I just hope we don't have to do it over and still have it in my deadline. But if we do, I'll manage.

Oh, right, thoughts on the new scoring system:
Better. I like the idea, but the points need tinkering: Scoring below 5th right now is pointless. I would expand the "relevant" places out to 10, and maybe not just drop by one each time. Here's an example of how I would do it, following your lead:
1st 30,
2nd 25,
3rd 21,
4th 18,
5th 15,
6th 12,
7th 10,
8th 8,
9th 6,
10th on, 5.
Submission but failure: 2
No submission: 0

I know the game I'm about to suggest isn't technically an NES game, but I Wanna Be The Guy, I think, would be a rather interesting thing to make a challenger on. It's even harder than The Silver Surfer, Ghouls and Ghosts, and Ghostbusters 1 and 2 put together!

I beat that on the second highest difficulty.

All I did was save after the initial credits when turning it on, then started recording from the # of Players screen. Whenever I got hosed I just stopped recording load the save state and started over. If someone found a "glitch" like that it can't really be held against them, since it's internal, and built into the game. I can say "don't do it" but since it's already Saturday it'll slide this round.

Hmm. I don't really like the game, but for some reason, I don't mind playing it over and over again. It's addictive.
It's also not generating much discussion or score-waving. Hmm.
You know, I should probably submit what I have right now, just to make sure I get something in.

Last night I played for out 2 hours and only got 2 noteworthy runs... neither of which topped my submitted high score. Last night I really sucked at this game.

I had mostly bad runs, until the one I submitted. Can't wait for Week 4.

Nice run Not Sure
This is the last day for Pinbot. Any guesses what's next? Duck Tales? Mega Man? Castlevania? The usual suspects we expected to play?
It'll probably be Milon's Secret Castle or something.

I got my run in at about 8.4 million. I'm still working on it, though. I'll put a video up once I get on a decent connection.

Seriously, here's a hint: If you feel the need to apologize for your choice of game...reconsider it.

Holy crap.
Had the greatest run ever last night. 5,6 Million on my first ball. Then, disaster. Ended with 6.6 Million. I hate this game, but I still think I can get closer to 10M before tomorrow.
My vote for next game, Double Dribble, who can beat the computer by the most points. If I'm right, you guys are screwed.

This is the first day I've been able to play Pinbot, unfortunately, so I won't be able to practice much... thankfully, it doesn't look that practice-heavy. Just gotta be a little less twitchy with the flippers, I think.
I'm worried Pinbot is going to give me nightmares, especially with that crazy NES-graphics robot at the beginning. Is this just a normal game of pinball or is it something... more? Am I fighting for my life? My freedom? Who IS the Pinbot?
(In case you haven't noticed, I think too much about things.)

I've submitted my final entry already since I've been unable to top my score. I'm waiting on the next round now
I lost a couple of balls when Pinbot would suddenly decide to stop time to say something. There's no "Kick Pinball Machine" button is there?

Pinballs should not turn into triangles that put your flippers in stasis. That is all.

Douche, go to his profile and email it to him.
If it's too big of a file to send(try sending him the vmv at least) put it on YouTube like Not Sure did above and either send him there or post it here I guess.

Oh, duh. His profile. I knew about the YouTube option, but I didn't want to have to convert it today.
