So I hooked my FC Twin back up to my new tv. So what I decided to do is try and beat every NES game possible. I am going to document it here in this thread. I'm sure I'll never reach my goal, especially since once I buy GTAIV, I'll probably forget all about it, but oh well.

For any of you who think, "this guy is a moron, anybody can beat those games", hopefully its only because I decided to start out with games that are easier for me. I'll get to the harder ones later. If I started with some hard shit, I might get stuck and not have ANY games listed.

I am going to start off with games I own, then when I run out of games to play, I'll move on to the emulator Wink

and play more games that I own. Wink

Also, any game I've beat prior to now doesn't count. My list is only games I've beat from this point on. AND NO CHEATS (I'm refering to Game Genie. Konami Code is accaptable, as is any built in code, with the exception of stage select or anything like that.)

At any rate here are the NES games I've beat so far. I'll add new games to the original post.

Adventures of Lolo
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (best ending)
Deja Vu
Duck Tales
Karnov
Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!
Shadowgate
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 3
Uninvited

If anyone gets the urge, make your own list below. If no body gives a frogs fat ass, at least I have a place to document my own success.

i have an fc twin, but havent got around to using it too much...are you gonna do ones for snes too?

Yeah, but I want to try to get through as many NES as I can first.

you should keep it as a blog type of thing. talk about hte games a little bit as you do it, instead of jsut a list.

it may even turn into a halfway entertaining article.

So then do you think I should keep it all in my original post, or just add a new post for each game and talk about it a little? Or how should I structure it?

you could do it post by post. something like "I just beat punch out. man, this game is hard. If they remade this game now, I doubt it would have stereotypes like these guys."

Thats a great Idea, I have no idea why I didn't think about that. We bascially just have an excel sheet with the games we beat how long it took and what we rated it on a 10 point scale, but after playing through Dick Tracy, dudes with attitude, Power Punch II and similar horrible games, this could be incredibly funny and fun. THANKS JEW!!!

Somebody should make some sort of achievement board of some sorts that supports comments or something.

I was thinking more like an ongoing article (like cover me: the endurance run http://maroonx.com/articles/2005/covers/), but achievements sound sweet. we could each have a score card on our wiki.

Depends... if you were the Raiders, 49ers, Bills, or Dolphins... no, it doesn't count.

My Tecmo Super Bowl quest to beat the game with every team continues... although my roommate and I just lost the Super Bowl to the goddam Bills because he REFUSES to choose pass plays on defense and wonders why he gets beat downfield when trying to get all sacks.
