From the 8-bit: A boxing game that pits an underdog against cartoonish opponents and features a final battle so epic, it has another incarnation, thanks to real life events.
From the 16-bit: A hybrid action platformer/town-building simulation game that places players in the role of a God out to save and rebuild his world.
Vote.

Yea, no brainer here. Punch Out is one of my favorite games ever, and one that I can pick up and play just about whenever

I love both these games a lot, but I'll go with ActRaiser because Punch-Out is going to win easily.

Yeah, actually I just beat it last night. So when I saw that this was the next poll, I was like, "hey. look."

I always wondered what Actraiser was whenever I saw it listed on emulation sites (of course, I couldn't download it since I certainly don't own the cartridge...we need a shifty-eyed smiley so I can put it here)

The only time I ever beat Actraiser was with the Game Genie. When I was a kid, we had a video store that was closed on Sundays. So when you rented something on Saturday, you got to keep it until Monday for the same price. So we beat a lot of games being able to keep them an extra day. Well, it was getting late Sunday and I wasn't even close to beating it. So I cheated.
I should probably go back and play it without stooping so low, but I haven't yet. It is on my list of games to buy though. So hopefully I'll get another try at it.
