Because I've been reading the TPBs and I don't post much

So yeah, been reading this book, set between Tales of the Jedi and the KOTR games to bridge the two and it's pretty sweet. Mainly focuses on a Jedi padawan on the run from his masters who have framed him for the murder of his classmates as it were, but also shows a bunch of really awesome Mandalorians since they're pushing their way forward in the early days of the Mandalorian Wars. Malak and Revan show up a few times, Revan always hooded and shadowed, Malak with an actual jaw and still red footie pajamas. 3rd book ends with a crazy aristocrat slapping hyperdrives on exogorths (space slugs) to use them as a mobile plague to threaten systems. The art is really good as is the writing and the story is very interesting. It's also made me pick up Tales of the Jedi again to familiarize myself with some things and I find that series more interesting than I did when I originally read it some odd years ago (thought it was kinda weird and boring then.)

I'm actually really enjoying a lot of Dark Horse's current Star Wars series what with this, Dark Times and Legacy (which is absolutely smashing.)

Thoughts? Snarky comments?

I am so out of the loop, is this comics or books? I assume comics from the lingo, but I thought Tales of the Jedi was a book arc. Or are they criss crossing and all that (since KOTOR is a game series)?

All comics, sorry. Tales of the Jedi was a comic series too, you might be thinking of the "Tales from..." line of books like Tales from Mos Eisley, Tales from Jabba's Palace, Tales of the Bounty Hunters, etc.

Dude, whatever the fuck you want to call them, comic snobs refer to them just as "books" as in "the books I'm reading this week" etc, so I thought that and the TPB line was telling enough but anywhoo...

I have not read Redemption, I don't think. I might have read it years ago but I haven't re-aquainted myself with that part of the series yet. Is it under the Tales of the Jedi title? The first omnibus ends at the beginning of Nomi Sunrider's training under Thon and only touches briefly on the Qel-Droma brothers so I haven't read all his fall to the darkside story yet. But I did tell the local comic shop to hold onto Vol. 2 when they get them back in stock again so, soon.

Yeah, it's under Tales. It's about him finding a planet so he can just stay there away from civilization, and then Nomi's daughter finds him.

I'm actually reading that one now, interesting that he goes to Rhen Var, that planet doesn't get enough use. Also cool that the art of that story is almost like a bridging between the style of Tales of Jedi and Knights of the Old Republic, since there's a MASSIVE stylistic change between the two series, even though they take place only a few years apart.
