Not yet although I want to. I know Hegleland was pissed at the theatrical version and the new third act sounded interesting. Plus I want to see if he just curses the whole time on the commentary about what the studio did to him back in '99.
It'll be good to see when Mel Gibson was cool crazy again.

I'm watching it right now. It's pretty good... although I don't really remember the original anymore.

Huh, well it's not perfect and I don't really remember the theatrical... But I do remember the film being lighter and the it ended with a giant explosion. The new film has the much talked about different ending, which is appropriate... But again I feel like there's a scene missing. IDK. I'll check out the commentary.
Syd, if you haven't seen it yet, it is worth your time. It's a very cool curiosity. I need to rewatch the theatrical.

thanks for the heads up.
i never liked the way the movie was done in that darker/bluish tint/hue. i know they did that on purpose because of the darker tone of the movie but i never felt it was necessary.

Yeah, the movie looks much better now. There's a cool doc about how they reprinted the negative and cut on film. It made an old jazz man happy.
