Imagine if someone had published a GOOD strategy guide. If an old Prima guide is worth $129, an old strategy guide that was actually useful would be worth roughly as much as the gross national product of Italy.

I think it's more that the prima guide was an incentive gift for getting MVC2 when ti came out (the guide was actually made before the game was released) and the RE archives was the first time all of that material was compiled (albeit shittily) and released by capcom in one book (in the US at least)
