It seems to me every Joe-Blow's website sells T-Shirts. I never buy a single one. I'd say I'd buy one from this site, but I probably wouldn't when the money is going to be spent on more immediate pleasures.

However, I do demand we get some DESIGNS for rejected or unused shirts. The world would just be better for it.

I've thought about doig t-shirts, but the problem is that the site is based around reviewing copyrighted material. But since I do run the site at a loss, I probably will starting doing t-shirts sooner or later. The first design would probably be dark gray with the site banner on it.

Dark grey = gay

Go with black. Black is cool.

I'm with Spanky on this one, because I was actually thinking about this the other day. (And came to the same realization as you about how the blatant use of copyrighted material to make money would wind your ass up in jail)

Black was my first inclination, but I thought it would be a little weird since the banner has always been on the gray background in the past. Maybe I'll make a special gray one for myself since I own way too many black t-shirts as it is.

I actually contemplated making my own Syd Lexia T-shirt using the banner. I thought no one would ever find out. Unfortunately, now everyone will have one, and I will be the laughing stock of the world.

But first the forums haves to be filled up with all kinds of people and jist before Tee-Shirts could ever sell. Also these people must have jobs and be able to send money orders without hesitation.

I remember this thread! So Syd, can we design the t-shirts now? The people "demanded it". And Regal, if you wear the shirt it will get more hits to the forums and more people and more shirts and stuff, and all that money will mean more bandwidth to support Syd's fetish for images and to buy the rights to Bad Dudes*

*Money may not actually be used for this

I'm probaBLY bumping old topics, but whatever. this seems relevant.

another interesting idea for shirts would be to use jokes that you make on the site. thigns that will make people say "what the hell is that on your shirt?" so that you cna reply with "oh, it was said on this websaite I go to" and then give people the URL. it's the best kind of advertising.

maybe not best, actually, but it's what I'm doing:

Put this on a T-shirt.

"But you're a retard.
Yeah, the retard who plays Mortal Kombat".

Similarly, you could just put the URL below the quotes.

I think such a shirt should have the NDS kirby picture on one side, and a quote on the other, such as "Pop culture ate my brain", or "Go in peace to love and serve pop culture", "The retard who plays Mortal Kombat", etc.

I am pretty sure that Kirby would be copyright infringement, unless I drew him out myself.

May I suggest Hanes Beefy Tee's, they are the most comfortable T-shirts I've worn.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean for your shirts. I was referring to what you were saying about telling people the URL:

I'd definitely consider buying a shirt with any of those quotes on it, or any other good Regal-isms, for that matter.

But the picture is of a toy you own, would that still be infringment?

heh, telling hte URL is just an icebreaker.... or a good opportunity to distract people while you put roofies in their drink.

I'm doing exactly what Jew did, but I don't care. Because in my very first post to this site, I stated that I had been lurking for a while before joining. One of the things that I did inbetween reading articles while at work was go looking for the SydLexia store, so that I could maybe buy myself a shirt. Granted, the copyright infringement stuff is scary. But there are clever ways around that. Simple one off jokes like "ninja related crimes these days...internet is not the exception" or "Fatty want an apple?" are more than enough to pique my interest. Plus, there's this store that deals in only OLD used games in Austin that sells shirts with BLATANTLY ripped off stuff. If I could just figure out their secret, I would finally have the secret to how to shoot that fucking dog in Duck Hunt.... or, I mean how to get your shirts made.

But Gray is totally better than Black. I have too many black shirts.

At 5AM, Jew and I thought a shirt that said "I already have a name picked out" on the front, and "Fellatio & Hockey" on the back, would be hilarious. Now it's just confusing.

There never was an image here, what the fuck are you talking about?

I don't even remember what it was supposed to entail.

I opened up a notepad file on my desktop labeled "fallatio" yesterday, and it took a moment to register what I was reading.
