From the 8-bit: A space shooter set over a titular planet that introduced a famous code.
From the 16-bit: A collection of graphically upgraded versions of four classic Mario games, one of which previously didn't make it to this side of the Pacific.
I must confess, Super Mario All-Stars is how I first beat SMB3 & 2, in that order. Syd, you're probably not going to like the outcome of this one.

Like I said in the previous topic...couldn't he just keep everything in one topic and just keep changing the poll/topic. That would probably make everyone happy.

Why do people even care about cluttered forums? When you log in, there's a link right below the giant SYDLEXIA.COM banner that magically shows you every thread that has new posts for you. You really don't even have to go into the individual categories unless you want to make a new thread. And even if you do, the button for this is on the top right, so you don't even have to look at the threads that are already there. (Which you should have already checked by clicking the 'View posts since last visit' link).
Dear God, you're worse than women.

You know, your criticisms really suck the life right out of me. I'm only trying to get something off my chest and I never would have started this if Syd hadn't given his blessing. Like Syd said, chillax.

But these polls are not even about games anymore. Its all about you and your quest. If it really was about finding the absolute best of the best you would actually take interest in your pollsters. It appears to me that your just charging headstrong into this without thinking it through. I mean what results are you looking for?

Y'all are all pretty mean to this guy. You don't like his posts? Don't respond. Or I guess we could always go into every post you make and post about how horrible you are. That always accomplishes stuff, doesn't it?
Oh, and though I probably never would have responded if these guys hadn't said anything, I guess I will now.
I choose Mario All-Stars. Sure, it's just a port. But the whole reason I hated Nintendo was that I had to play the same levels over and over again just because I was ADD and got tired of games quickly. Adding a save feature so I could play in, say, 5 minute snippets made all the difference.
Of course, I never played the other game, since I only had collected 6 NES games before I got a SNES. And playing the NES after seeing the "realistic" graphics and gameplay of the SNES was nigh impossible. The same thing happened when I went from Atari to NES. And SNES to N64. And N64 to... well, you get the drift.

And Super Mario All-Stars edges out Gradius. See, Syd? I told you. Next.
