If Lufia II wasn't so GOD DAMN awesome I would vote for Adventure Island, but the truth is it is I could play it over and over agin so it gets my vote. GOD I love that game.

Lufia II Rocked. But some puzzles were too hard. The Ultimate Puzzle and the burning vines come to mind. Plus the obligatory random dungeon that didnt do anything once you collected 8 Jelly stuff. I spent like a year dedicated to this game.

When you get right down to it, adventure island was a obnoxiously difficult platformer with terrible game mechanics, shitty powerups, dull story and enemies, and a main character that one-ups mario for the title of "Guy who is least suited to being a hero or performing great feats of physical prowess".
