I'm having trouble thinking of a SNES game i played when i was a kid, can anyone help me on this?

It was a platformer in which your character could go through these rings to give him different powers, sometimes required to solve puzzles or get past obstacles (one made you float in water i think) if that helps any . The way I remember the main character was that he looked like Kirby, but I barely remember this game, so that could be wrong.

It wasn't Plok was it? That's the only thing that immediately comes to mind.

Was it Claymates by chance? Other than that I would need to do some rigorous research which I can't do because I'm in the process of moving.

I was thinking of claymates, but in that game you got power-ups by picking up different coloured balls of clay that would turn you into various animals.

no, it wasn't either of those, but they look interesting. funny how i've never even heard of Plok, even though i do a lot of SNES emulation...

The only other fuzzy detail I remember about this game was that one of it's levels was a very tall, forest themed level in which you went through (at least part of the level) by going to the top of the trees, then back to the bottom in an up-down weaving motion.
Smile sorry about that ridiculous description, my attempts at ascii art failed
