I must say I have never played a FF game ever. I started playing FFIV advance a while ago and then my friend borrowed it and its been ages since I last saw it.
But after reading the epic poem, I am willing to start w/FFVI.
I must say well done Valdronius, well done.

That was the most epic poem I've ever seen in my life. You should do Final Fantasy VII next!

It probably had more lines in it than FF6 did.
But yeah it really captured the spirit of the game.

That was epic! Nice one, Val.
Yeah, I should playing this/getting into more RPGs in general, since I'm not so big on those.

Val, I didn't get it. I mean, I read the words, but why weren't the pictures straight? It ruined the whole experience.

Having a straight column of centered pictures was terribly monotonous, so I went with a staggered approach.

I was just bitching so you'd feel validated. Did I not insult you right?

I'll read anything that has to do with FF6. However, I just took Brit. Lit. last semester, so the Epic Poem was a nice touch.

I kind of thought that was the case, but I didn't want to say 'Thanks' and seem like an ass.
Thanks!

Nice work. But I'm gonna have to disagree with the whole "greatest game ever" thing. I don't know that I'd even agree with "greatest FF ever", tbh.

I agree. Not the greatest game ever. Not even the greatest RPG ever. (That award goes to Fallout, IMHO.) Nor, does it deserve "Greatest SNES RPG ever. (Chrono Trigger holds that honor.) But, I will say that it may be the greatest FF ever. Though, I think FFIV and FFVI are almost tied.

Actually, I think that VI and VII are tied.

I would like to apologize to all forum members who see this and do not understand it.
I shall explain. This isn't a rant to the world, it is a directed rant aimed at only one person, who has made every effort in the last year to let me know how FFIV was not as good as FFVI (I disagree completely). The number of times I wish I had the to defend myself is so large that I can't even begin to count that high.
Examples:
"Well you like FFIV better... so why should I believe you about anything"
"Yeah.. well someone who likes FFIV would think something stupid like that"
So. To my friend Greeneyedzeke, this is all for you buddy.
Oh my god.
Oh my god.
OH MY GOD!!!
Do you understand what has been done?!??!?!?!?
Greeneyedzeke!!! Wake up!!! Syd just agreed with me.

Final Fantasy VI: An Epic Poem by Valdronius
Valdronius has taken the second greatest story ever told and made it rhyme.
That's right, second greatest. I liked Final Fantasy IV better. |
IN YOUR FACE!!!!! IN YOUR MOTHER FUCK'N FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait... what was that? Oh, it ws me laughing, crying, and cackling over this sweet sweet moment.
I can only imagine that you feel like this right now:
End Rant
See ya at work tomorrow!
On a kinder note, Val, I think it is amazing what you did there. While VI isn't as good as IV, I do think that what you have done is worthy of praise.

Nice to see someone else has played Fallout. Really, there is no RPG that really tops it (arguably Planescape: Torment?).
Nice article/poem, The FF series for me ended after FFVI, I just lost interest in the series after getting fed up with the constantly flamboyant, feminine protagonists Square kept creating.
Write an article on Pocky and Rocky 2 next, that series really doesn't get the respect it deserves.
