Damn straight it's me and i stand by that remark. I know people (otakus mainly) keep telling me that power rangers came before voltron in japan but voltron came to the US first and in my eyes power rangers is a rip off of voltron. You see, this is how much i love voltron, i've already said voltron 5 times. Might as well go for an even 10:

Not that I think they're better than Voltron (Voltron rules after all) but Power Rangers have indeed been around since like the friggin' 60's or something in Japan.

Actually, it's a win here...

See, Power Rangers is purely 90's, and purely American. The intention by the creators was to bring the super sentai genre to America. Though, yes, other super sentai shows like Power Rangers did exist in Japan going back to the late 60s.

So, technically, Voltron came first. Bask in the glory.

I wouldn't call re-dubbing a Japanese show and shooting like 30% new footage "Purely American."
