And after reading this I have realized something. Batman is batshit insane but looks awesome being insane. Comics are not suppose to be the pillar of sophistication and literary genus but even by comicbook standard, this is campy up the ass but looks awesome.

Now I'm going to be honest, i thought spidey three was meh . . . The biggest thing that was a downer for me was it felt compressed and lets not forget how campy it was compared to the last two. But, ZOMG it looks so damn awesome with da CG . . .

And then i saw this game review for a next gen game:



I haven't play it and can't give an straight forward opinion. The game looks awesome but watching the game play, it feels off. I don't know, but most to all next gen games don't interest me. Oh sure, the graphics are AWESOME! but the whole Halo thing, even when i was introduced to it, didn't appeal to me much.

Have i just grown up? Has my enthusiasm for movie, video game and comics different because i'm older now?

I just was wondering, am i the only one who thinks that the eyecandy appear of comics (and other media like movies and video games) has skyrocketed but in the process burying anything like plot and character development and substance (and competent game programing in the VG perspective).

I'm not saying everything has fallen into this category but it seems like the entertainment industries are putting more effort to make shit look like gold then trying to make something that's a balance between the outside and the inside. Shit is shit even if you spray paint it with gold and diamonds. I truly think entertainment has gone the way of the blonde:

I think i know why I feel this way, the Internet. Oh come on, lets face it! The Internet IS the entertainment of the 21st century! Hollywood knows it, Gaming companies know it and the Comicbook industry knows it. Think about it? Would you rather fork over cash to read an unintentionally funny batman comic or go on the internet and read (for free) the intentionally funny Dr. McNinja? The entertainment industries know this, that's why they try to rush out every damn thing they do but take their time to make it look better then anything on the internet so people have incentive to buy but ultimately leaving out everything else because all the time was spent on the image. Another cold fact is, if you manage to have a comic or movie or video game that is so appealing (whether in a good way or bad way) where does it end up?



Yup, on the internet! And the entertainment media knows this. The last 7 years has been it's unoriginal effort to keep people interested in them but lets face it, average joes like Syd are taking the entertainment world over. Oh sure, it's not universal yet and the old forms of entertainment are still going to be around but the internet is the future and I'm loving every minute of it! Let the media run for the hills, at least gaming has conformed to have on line game play in like every damn game made today.

All I'm saying is, screw the entertainment media and enjoy the wonder that is . . . the Internet! Long F8cking live the INTERNET!!!
