Insane.

I just started playing the game and I have to admit it's pretty damn cool, looks great, and has really great features. I like being able to run fast as hell on the fly then jump high as fuck and shoot someone in the skull...nice game so far.

I want to get this game solely to spite my friends who despise PC games for no immediately apparent reason besides the fact that they suck too much kangaroo schlong to build a computer. They also prefer controllers over keyboard and mouse, granted I actually condone this because the behavior was brought on by the n64's great fps's as opposed to Halo like it is with most people.

Yeah, it's excusable if it was inspired by GoldenEye, but my friend never shuts up when we're playing The Specialists on my 2 computers. He always says "Man, if I had a 360 controller, I'd be owning your ass".

Indeed.

Turok and company - 1
Halo - 0

I'm getting Halo 3, but that game just gets too damn competitive. My friends have come up with this fun mode called HamsterCrack, though. We turn the gravity on low and the speed on high and run around with gravity hammers trying to splatter each other, usually to the tune of "Weasel Stomping Day" by Weird Al or something comparatively stupid and funny.

Me and my friends came up with a fun game when we played Halo 1 to keep it from being annoyingly competitive and boring in a similar fashion. We called it "Thunderdome." The object would be for two people to each get in a warthog and ram into each other until someone flips over and falls out so you can run them down. The kicker was that after every impact, we yell "Thunderdome!" The game started as a random thing I started doing that caught on with the group. We especially liked doing it on the icy levels and calling penalties on Thunderdome calls on missed impacts since it always looked like you were going to hit the other vehicle on the ice when you weren't. A lot of good times. Then Halo 2 came out and the vehicles were destroyable. Ruined the fun of the game.

My thoughts on Crysis? It's the best looking FPS engine out currently and will probably remain so for a good amount of time. I think it's fun for the most part, but I wish it had a couple more features. I really don't like not being able to progressively aim over a rock or barrier in a more fluid manner. Standing up abruptly, fully poking my head out so I get shot doesn't feel very tactical. I think that the energy bar runs out a little too quickly on the speed setting, but that's a minor gripe. It pisses me off that you're completely inaccurate if you're firing and not using the iron sights. A fucking special forces guy would be able to hip shoot like Rambo god damn it. For this reason alone the double pistols are entirely fucking useless, which sucks.

I'm not as into it as I thought I'd be. It looks like an updated farcry...and it doesn't even feel fun to me. Ghey.
