There's a slightly older Black Friday site that uses a legitimate domain extentension: http://www.bfads.net

Unfortunately, since Black Friday 2006, companies have started suing sites over posting their BF ads in advance. You'd think these companies would WANT their ads leaked, but Target, Best Buy, Wal*Mart, and Macy's have all filed successfully lawsuits saying that their ads proprietary and that unlicensed duplication of them is illegal.

As a result, BF sites are fairly useless now. Oh boy, I can find out what KB Toys and Kohl's are putting on sale, hooray. I rather know what good stores are putting on sale.

I suspect the stores' concern is that having their ads leaked gives other stores the chance to respond and price their stuff even more competitively. Even so, it's a bit silly.

That, and we already have morons who forget to read the dates on things and then get pissed when you tell them the discount/coupon doesn't start until a set date. Also, I have to work Black Friday, and it's gonna suck. Especially if I'm closing and have to clean the bathroom.

I too have to work Friday, but I get off two hours early. Now, I would normally be happy about that, but they are actually forcing us to make up those two hours by taking a shorter lunch (1/2 hour lunch vs hour lunch) during the week and staying half an hour extra after our shift to make up the difference. Or we could use vacation time to cover those two hours.

Either way its a janky way to screw us. The old bait-and-switch if you will.

I'm working 5 am to 11 pm on black friday. Or at least, that's the plan for now. We'll see if it changes in the next few days.

I did a few black fridays at Wal-Mart, in the toy dept. That shit is insanity. I don't wish it on anyone.

I did 5 black fridays at a grocery store, and that was pretty sweet. No one comes in, so you can put the store back together after it gets destroyed before thanksgiving.

I work at RadioShack, which means I get commission. So monetarily I'm looking forward to Black Friday. Physically and emotionally? Not so much.

For all the unfortunate souls who have to work on Black friday:

Develop a nervious twitch in your neck and also make one eye twitch alot. Then has you are going about your store, mumble to yourself. That should help cut back on idiot customers pestering you.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday I have to deliver papers to all my costumers. This as opposed to the regular Wed/Sun schedule. And they have to be in by 8:00 on Thursday. Man, The Reporter has to ruin EVERY holiday for my Dad and I.

Black Friday will be like a regular friday for us. Malls don't usually get a rush til afternoon/evenings around here.
