I'm a huge fan of the original, uncensored, subs version of One Piece. Believe me these new Dubs by Funimation are better then 4kids, but not by much. I'm bring this up because i got into a heated discussion with some of my anime friends about subs and dubs. There claim was that subs are far superior to dubs for many reasons i will not list. At the moment i was for the dubs because sometime subtitles go way to fast to read and i just want to enjoy the show. Now i'm starting to see what they mean. I've seen so many sub episodes that these new dubs just seem off. I don't know, you guys be the judge:

To be fair, there's all kinds of "keep it PC" hurdles that companies have to jump over just to get shit on TV here. One Piece isn't something I'd really aim at the 3-10 year old age group, but that's its fate here, unfortunately. So it got hacked up.
It's like if they put Urotsukidoji on Fox Kids or something.

Yeah. The series' art style seems childish, so 4Kids marketed it to children. Funimation couldn't take the series and have it go from early Batman to The Dark Knight Batman just like that.
