The Wii virtual console is so awesome? You know what would make it more awesome? Alot of things. What is it you guys would like to see Nintendo do with the Virtual Console anyway? Personally, I'd like to see them add the Gameboy/Gameboy color to the console list and also bring some Japanese/Euro only games (And vice versa) across the pond and translate them.

MSX has been confirmed to be coming to the VC, and that will be awesome.

I don't know if GB/GBC is worth it. A lot of the games, especially the old GB games, would look horrid on my big screen TV.

On the NES and SNES, I would like to see new translations of stuff we never got, most notably Dragon Quest V.

I also want all the old light gun games, as well as 64DD games and expansions, and prototypes. If Bandai still has the Japanese prototype of Monster Party lying around, they NEED to release that.

1. Make the pricing system sane. (Just thought I'd get that out of the way).

2. Release some import shit.

3. Make both "Classic" and "Online Enabled" versions of game ROMs.

Battle Lode Runner for the PCE/TG16: An example of a title that was previously only released in Japan that came here.

Sega used The Sega Channel as an excuse to translate games that otherwise wouldn't have gotten a US Genesis release such as Golden Axe 3.

The VC needs to do that.

A translated version of Dragon Quest VI may actually exist at NOA headquarters. After the success of some of Square's SNES RPGs, NOA tried to convince Enix to translate DQ5 for US release. After waffling on the issue, they finally refused. When DQ6 came out in Japan, Nintendo offered to localize it for Enix. Work started on the game, but it was abandoned when a deal couldn't be reached between the two companies on licensing and such.

Bring online support for the VC games, bring some changes to the game, touch them up a little, then I'll consider to buy VC games again... I'll still with XBOX Live until that happens

That would be nice.

That's completely against what the VC is about. And I wouldn't really want that anyway. They've remade Final Fantasy I like a million times and none of them have been as good as the old school NES and MSX versions.

The only "enhancements" I enojoy while playing older games via emulation (Which is what VC is), is higher resolution and occasional texture smoothing. Other than that, I don't want anyone to change a single sprite.

They are going to release Donkey Kong Jr. Math on the Virtual Console.

Feel free to comment on this.

I think it is the worst idea ever.

It wouldn't be the first shitty game they released... Legend of Kage is on the VC as well.

In theory, I am not against them releasing DKJM for the VC. Every game should eventually find its way on to the VC, even the bad ones, and anyone dumb enough to pay $5 for DKJM is going to get exactly what they deserve.

However, given the painfully slow VC release schedule, there's really no excuse to be releasing DKJM at this point in time. There are plenty of good games that deserve VC releases and if Nintendo wants to release a few games that are pure fucking shit each week, then they better up their release schedule from 2-4 games per week to 5-8 games per week.

I don't think that's entirely true, but there a few hotly contested games.

I'd like to see the VC adding game from the 32x and the SegaCD. They're just expansions for a Genesis, why shouldn't they be on there? I'd also like them to release Super Mario All-Stars so I can see the look on my friend's face after he'd have already bought the NES originals. I would also love some online play with VC titles.

32x is fine, but SegaCD isn't, 'cause the Wii has limited space to store your stuff in, not unless you buy a lot of SD cards.

I don't think they'll release All-Stars due to players' complaints, and the fact that it'll defeat the purpose of gettin' SMB1, 2, and 3. on the NES.

Nintendo already said early, that they're addin' extra features, such as 480p or widescreen (includin' online) to some games, specifically Mario Party.

yeah... but sonic CD was one of the best sonic titles out there... i would love to see that on VC... of course i need a Wii first... but that can wait...

either way... i do wish they would release some sort of HDD to the Wii... seeing as how it has the two USB ports in back... you can just add one HDD instead of buying a ton of SD cards...

I liked Legend of Kage, it's hard but rewarding. You can block shurikens and sword strikes if you have good timing, and since you die in one hit it feels very rewarding to know that you're somehow miraculously getting through each fight with bad ass ninja shit. Also, it has awesome music.

Add a flute of death that kills everyone in the woods when you play it and you've got one cookin' game! I give this game a 5 out of 5 for Fun Factor GamePro Dudes Cool

What I'd like to see on the virutal console is home-made 16 bit games, or stuff like Cave Story being distributed widely on the cheap. Kinda like an iTunes for video games, but not a piece of shit.

Nintendo has announced a service like that. Gamers are going to be able to make free downloadable games and put them up on an impending Wii Download Service. Nintendo initially said the service would be unregulated, but let's see if they actually stick to that.

Yeah. Or else there will be creative uses of touch control, if you know what I mean.

I wonder if they've considered a fan-made version of Manhunt 2, which is inevitable.
