This is pretty old. Apparently Mencia steals a lot of material from other comics. That being said, it's not like some of the jokes he performs don't write themselves.

Yeah. I've always said what Mencia doesn't steal happens to be so mind-numbingly generic you could stick a chimp in a room and he could come up with the same stuff. I mean, c'mon:
DUDE: The US Government is building a Mexican Wall
MENCIA: Who do you think's gonna build the wall?
I said the same thing when it hit our news (and living in Texas, we hear about illegal immigration frequently). I've seen videos where Mencia's stolen from Sam Kinison and Bill Cosby. I'd hunt them down, but I'm lazy. Just search on YouTube: Mencia Steals. You'll find something.

The guy annoys me, and he trashed an N64 on his show once, but before he got his show he did a VERY good stand up thing. He closed it with a really good thing about 9-11, it was great. I thought that guy was gunna go places, but looks like he just bent over and tried to become Dave Chapelle.

Is there a luckier person in this world than Carlos Mencia? His ass would still be doing a mediocre and somewhat successful comedy tour, if it wasn't for the fact that Dave Chappelle didn't feel like continuing his show and turned down $50 million. Of course, it only makes sense to give another minority a comedy show. It's a shame though his pales in comparison. I've never seen anyone talk more about being considered a badass. Carlos Mencia doesn't even do anything shocking. I can only hope people realize sooner rather than later that he's not funny.
