Pitch Black - GPFontaine's View

The movie was pretty much an excuse to show people being torn in half by CGI based aliens.

How many people died in the movie that didn't need to?

Um... all of them?

Lets start with the guy who gets shot in the face for being not Riddick. Um.. trigger happy much?

Next up is the guy who sticks his head into a hole. Would you do that? What the fuck was he thinking?

Following that we have the kid who is swarmed by the flying things... um just run outside you stupid fuck. Oh.. or call for help? Or anything? Retard.

Then we have the girl running away from the flying things again... um everyone said to stay down.. but you... you are fucking stupid... Lets stand up and get hit by a billion flying things.

Next up another one of the little kids decides to walk away from the group to follow Riddick... um Are you nuts? Didn't you just see what happened to the girl who got killed? Aren't you wondering why your brother died? Doesn't staying with the group sound like a smarter idea? Fucktard.

Moving on we have the antiques guy. The dude is connected via wires and starts running away scared. Um... dude are you that fucking dumb? The whole point is that these things thrive in the darkness. So why don't you run to the darkness. DUMB ASS.

Seems like a perfect time for a fight. Why not start arguing and fight each other. Great idea you fucking rejects. So fucking dumb. Say goodbye to Johns... not that we liked him anyways. Oh.. and Johns, are you an idiot? You are going to fight Riddick at night? For that matter, you are going to fight him without a gun? Didn't see your death coming. ASS.

The single death that I vote as not stupid is the poor kid who gets his leg thrashed and then gets dragged off. That kid did almost everything right and just had shit luck. Still.. I blame the antique guy for breaking the tube lighting from earlier. So the kid should have lived, but stupidity earlier killed him.

Who does that leave??? oh right the chick captain who tried to kill everyone else earlier. Well.. we saw your death coming. But you could have avoided it. Everyone made it except for Riddick. Who by the way, tried to fuck everyone over at the end... why did you go back for him? And whats more... why did the light not work at the end? Seemed like some bullshit that the light worked until the very end. Riddick would have been ok without you.. dude could have survived. But now you are dead.

And so goes the Chronicles of Riddick. I never played the game or saw the animated film. I did see the new(er) movie though. It was nothing like Pitch Black. Lots of people died, but it felt more like Star Wars type SciFi drama than it did Aliens type SciFi Horror.

But don't let me fool anyone with the comparison. Riddick's series is shit compared to Aliens and Star Wars.

Still... At least the newer movie was entertaining for a little bit. Pitch Black sucked.
