Who here wants a DeLorean tricked out like the one from Back to the Future? I do, I would say the Back to the Future II style though. It flies and shit.

Why would I want a car with flies and shit? I prefer clean cars.

Not it HAS flies and shit! Honestly, a hover car would be pretty cool.

I want a Delorean, tricked out or not.
Actually, I'd modify the doors so that they'd open with enough force to push other cars out of the way. That way I could actually park it in normal parking spaces.
I perfer the one from Back to the Future 3, you know, the one being pulled by horses. That one would be awesome.
Once my lease is up im going to get either a Delorean or an old 67-69 Dodge charger.
You can get a delorean in the 20K range. Id set up some lights on the outside so when i hit in the 80 MPH range they light up like in the movie.

Haha. Well, if any one has a DeLorean i found something interesting for them.

I am also with Syd on the door issue. Besides electrical problems and John DeLorean in trouble with the government (The reason why DMC is no defunct) many people probably would not have bought it because of the doors. They just dont' know how trick out DeLorean to push the other cars out of the way....
I don't think you can pick up a DeLorean for around 20k, can you? I thought they were in the 50k range, being that they are pretty rare to see.

You most certainly can!
The doors aren't really that big of an issue. as long as you have like 2 feet between you and the car next to you, and there side mirrors arent lined up with your door.
I test drove one locally before I leased my current vehicle and I while I was driving around with the guy, a cop pulled up behind us and I said "Let's see if these guys can do 90." He didn't laugh smile or anything he just said "No."

Either he has never seen the first Back to The Future or he is a moron....wait he's a car salesman he's seen it.
If I had the money I would put a bid on that auction you listed, but I'll just make a best offer of $24,673.72 in Martian dollars, it's equivalent to about $4.00 American.
New DeLoreans are coming. A Houston company bought the trademark, DeLorean Motor Co, and plan to start limited construction on new DeLorean DMC-12s. They're starting at around 200 a year. The new DeLoreans will probably cost more than $42,500, which is what the company charges to build a DeLorean from scratch with refurbed parts from the original cars.
