What the hell is the deal with this movie? The main character is so disgusting looking that it makes me want to throw up every time I see her. She makes The Elephant Man look like Fabio and The Elephant Man had the added advantage of being a damn good movie.
Nanny McPhee, on the other hand, is a cheesy-ass kiddy movie. I honestly don't see parents taking their kids to see this. I know that if I were a parent, there's no way in HELL that I'd take my kid to see this shit because I know I couldn't sit through it. If my kid begged me to see this, I'd whack her (I assume my firstborn will be a daughter) upside the head and tell her that she gets to watch Mary Poppins instead.

What are you talking about? It won the Golden Globe for "One Millionth Time Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic Has Been Used in a Movie About a Woman With Magical Powers"!

I was actually thinking about that too. I've been meaning to go off on a rant about songs I'm sick of hearing in movie trailers.

I don't know, I've been hearing it's a very dark film in the vein of the latest Harry Potters and Roald Dahl. I love dark kids movies like A Series of Unfortunate Events and Night of the Hunter.

I enjoy dark films, particularly A Series of Unfortunate Events, but this just doesn't interest me.

I'm glad someone else enjoyed it. I was surprised by the number of people who didn't. Jim Carrey as a homcidal manic trying to murder three children... or marry one of them... Plus, Il Duce! What's not to love?

No Glen wasn't gay, but Don Mancini the screenwriter and director is; not to hold that against him, of course. Bryan Singer is doing the same thing with Superman (not that gaying up a movie is bad, but it is fairly obvious... kinda like being openly gay).

Why would I hold it against him? The Child's Play movies kick ass, especially the last two. And Bryan Singer made some not so subtle allusions to homosexuality in X2 too. Like when Iceman confronts his parents.

I'm not dissing the man who gave my childhood nightmares . I was just trying to be subtle in my "IT'S OKAY TO BE A GAY FILMMAKER!" preaching.
