Saw it Sunday night. Better than 40 Year-Old Virgin. Funniest movie I've seen in a long time. Katherine Heigl is smoking in it and has great comedic timing. I plan on seeing it at least twice more in the theater. Anyone else seen it?

I was probably gonna see it tonight. If you really wanna see it again, and you're around tonight. Give me or Jeebus a call. Probably Jeebus, as I am careless with my cellphone.

I have rehearsal all week for Friday's performance, so I wasn't around.
Amazing movie. It was better than 40 YOV. I just felt like I could relate to it better and there wasn't as much overt improv that slowed down 40 YOV at times. Fucking awesome.

It was a better written movie than 40 Year Old Virgin, but I definitely laughed more during 40 Year Old Virgin.

I think that's because it hit closer to home for you.

Well, I like all sorts of dorky shit and I've never accidentally got a girl pregnant, so I'd say that's a fair assessment.
And what's with all this being able to "relate" to it stuff anyway? I don't recall that ever being a prerequisite for finding something funny. Hell, some of the best comedies I've ever seen (Naked Gun, Spaceballs, Wedding Crashers) are things that have absolutely nothing to do with the reality of my life. Is there something you're not telling us here? Are we gonna be smoking cigars outside the emergency room in a few months?

No, relating to a comedy isn't necessarily a prerequisite for enjoying a comedy, but in this case I just found that I indentified a bit more with the movie than I did with 40 YOV. Also, there was a little less improv and the movie didn't drag as much. I felt that 40 YOV slowed down in places. Plus, it's cool to see the kid from Freaks and Geeks do well in a leading role.

Hell yes.
Katherine Heigl > Elizabeth Bank as well.
Also Leslie Mann > Catherine Keener, though Mann had a bit part in 40 Year Old Virgin.

"You made Steve Carell look like an asshole" - Funniest line in the film. Very funny film, but I'm going to have to side with 40 Year Old Virgin being superior. I thought the group dynamic was better in that than in Knocked Up. Plus, you can't beat a scene where two characters are playing MK: Deception (especially not with the random scene of Pink Eye).
I couldn't help but make "Bride of Chucky" and "Under Siege 2" comments throughout the film. Alas, the guy next to me had no idea what I was talking about.

I thought it was a freaking hilarious movie. It's like it gets you laughing your ass off, then slows down just long enough for you to catch your breath, then you're laughing again. I found it ironic that they're trying to start a website like Mr. Skin, a site that I happened to search for Katherine Heigl nudity in other movies.
And that bouncer was amazingly funny

And how many other Office cast members weaseled their way into the film? Probably just two more with Carell and B.J. Novak.

I saw it last night, it was pretty fucking funny. My favorite lines were "This hotel room has five different kinds of chairs in it." "Holy fuck! What are they all doing in here?" Awesome references appear too, I went nuts when that guy had on the Tom Waits shirt (I forgot like every character's name except the main two, her sister's husband, that guy) and Beck was playing when they were in the record store and he had a Fear & Loathing poster, and their whole trip to Vegas was definitely a Fear&Loathing homage on the whole. The weird thing is, I pretty much am Ben, save the knocking up a hot blonde part.

I freaked out too when I saw it, but I freaked out even more when later someone was wearing a Rob Zombie shirt. That movie plays into all my sympathies just by doing things like that.
