In May 2007, it was announced that anime would be once again returning to Sci Fi Channel. On June 11, Sci Fi will air the first weekly Ani-Monday block from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am. Content for the new block will be provided by Manga Entertainment.

It was later revealed through the channel's online schedule that the first airing of the block would have the world premier of the English version of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society. Sci Fi Channel's airing will be June 11 and the DVD for the movie is scheduled for release on July 3, 2007.

Man, I can't watch Stand Alone Complex. After watching Ghost in the Shell 2, every other piece of animated work just looks awful in comparison. It spoiled me so very bad, it's a lovely movie to watch from a visual standpoint.

I still have yet to see the sequel/prequel (?). it's Innocence right?

it's innocence, it's a sequel, and it's one of the most beautiful things that I ever did see.

funny though, that sock tried to get me to watch SAC when I told him I hated it.

I'm very happy that sci-fi will be showing anime again, as sci-fi's anime week a few years ago is what really got me into anime to begin with.

SAC is decent, there are a lot of fun episodes, and I do have the first seaaon on DVD, but like I said, after Innocence, I can't look at it. I know it has like, the highest budget of any animated program in Japan, but still. After Innocence, everything looks like crap.
