There isn't much known yet, but apperently there might be a MacGyver Movie in the future:

Zlotoff mentioned he somehow ended up with the movie rights years ago (extremely uncommon), giving him full control over the film. I don't think Richard Dean Anderson will get to play the role if it actually gets made, but since it's still uncertain whether the movie will actually get made, it's a moot debate at this point.
