I'm fine with the new suit. Actually it reminds me more of the Halloween costume now than the old one.

IGN.com has revealed the first pic of one of Batman's new rides in The Dark Knight. Behold the Batpod. (Don't know if that's the final name; that's just what IGN is calling it.)
The gray-and-silver Batpod (the Bat-cycle by any other name) is "tricked out with grappling hooks, cannons and machine guns. The front and rear tires are both a monstrously huge 508 millimeters, and the engines are in the hubs of each wheel. Steering isn't by hand but by shoulder, since there aren't handlebars. Instead, there are shields that fit each arm like sleeves and have the ability to rotate around the bike's frame. The two foot pegs are set 3 1/2 feet apart on either side of the tank, which the rider lies on, belly down. That tank also moves up and down — you know, in case Batman needs to dodge bullets or slide under semis."
The Batpod was built by Wayne Enterprises' Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), the same whiz who built the Tumbler/Batmobile. In reality, the Batpod was designed by Dark Knight production designer Nathan Crowley and built by special effects coordinator Chris Corbould. They produced six Batpods for the movie.

Zack Snyder, director of 300, has been tapped to adapt the beloved comic book The Watchmen for the big screen. That's old news, but what's new news is who Snyder is eyeing for the starring roles.
Casting rumors for have been flying around the tubes, with speculation running rampant. Turns out Paddy Consindine is out as Rorschach and Jackie Earle Haley is in. Also, Haley's Little Children co-star Patrick Wilson is set to play Nite Owl. Also, Thomas Jane is the top pick to fill the role of The Comedian.
In Dr. Manhattan news, the part will not go to either Keanu Reeves or Billy Crudup as previously thought. The current frontrunner for the role is Jason Patric, who, most notably, starred in Speed 2. Looks like he'll continue the tradition of picking up Keanu's leftovers.

The long-awaited Wolverine film has taken one more step toward getting made, as Gavin Hood, the man who directed the 2005 Best Foreign Film Tsotsi, has been tapped to direct the feature. Hugh Jackman is on board, and the script is apparently right and ready, so we're close to getting shooting.
The film will apparently be a blend of the Wolverine origin story, with a heavy dose of Weapon X thrown in for good measure. Wolvie fans will most likely have a geekgasm when they hear that some of the source material will also include the Frank Miller Weapon X series.

Looks like the Watchmen have been cast. Warner Brothers announced that Billy Crudup, Patrick Wilson and Matthew Goode have been cast in the upcoming adaptation of Alan Moore's series of graphic novels.
Crudup will play Dr. Manhattan, Wilson is Night Owl, and Goode will be Ozymandias.
Snyder is planning on using the green screen technique he used to make 300, which will cut costs and give the film a ton of style.

I think Edward Norton would be a good Rorschach. I haven't kept up w/the news on that casting but if someone was already cast for that role I would like to know who it is.
Anyhow, Batman news. Here is a direct link to the new teaser trailer: http://video.whysoserious.com/TDK_Teaser_HD_Medium_bV78g1K.mov
You need quicktime in order to watch it.
Any thoughts?

As psyched as I am for the film, that was one crappy ass teaser. In this day and age we demand actual footage. Hell, in this day and age your teaser has footage even if the film doesn't have a title! You have footage even if it won't even be in the film!
And the special effects with those titles made me think I was seeing the trailer for Harry Potter 6.

lol. I agree. That teaser really sucked my balls. Well, it didn't, otherwise I would've enjoyed it. But, I guess that's why it's a teaser. Just there to tease, like many women of the world.

I still stand by my claim, but I just checked and I've played the trailer 63 times already.

that looks pretty cool actually. A lot better than I anticipated.
Anyhow, what do y'all feel about the Incredible Hulk?
I never hated the original. Thought it was better than much of the crap out there but everyone on the new film really seems to hate it.

double post!!
maybe not... since its a different day...
Anyhow, I was watching 300 on DVD just a little while ago cause my brother really loved the movie and I just could not get over the fact that slow motion sucks my ass!! Zack Snyder did a decent job of translating the graphic novel to a live medium but he just went too insane on slow motion. Everything is in slo-mo. Leonidas fucking, Leonidas climbing the mountain to the ephors, Leonidas picking up dying boy.
God, it was annoying. and not at all cool. I thought the movie was mediocre at best and I didnt like all the crap they added that wasnt in the graphic novel.
Anyhow, thats my drunken rant about said movie at this time of night... Peace nuckas
