Cinema Blend is reporting that the highly anticipated 24 film has been postponed until the show has come off the air for good. Executive Producer Evan Katz told the Blend that the script for the film has been completed, but that production on the project won't begin until the television series has run its course.

This is definitely a curious turn of events, given that 24 generally likes characters not to stick around for more then 2 seasons or so. Kiefer recently signed a 3-year extension on his contract for playing "professional badass" Jack Bauer. Who else will be in the movie? Will we have Chloe, Bill, or some member of the Palmer family?
