So one of my bosses went to the pizza place across the street from work the other day, and while he was eating lunch there was a show on called "Billionaire Toys" or something. Despite all my searching i can't find the show name or the company name, but this episode (which did not require you to even be a millionaire) was about some dude getting an action figure made of him. It costs $8,000 because they bring the 3D imaging truck thing to your house to get the photos of you, then have 8 sculptors working on the thing for 2-3 weeks, but apparently the results were fantastic. The toy was very high quality, looked like the person, and they received both one toy sealed in a box (with apparently very high quality packaging) as well as another one to play with.

So basically, the fund drive is now open. If you all pool together $16,000, then sydlexia.com will have action figures. (I'm not sure if I'm joking or not yet Cool )

Or you can always get an action figure customizer to create them a lot cheaper.

Thanks, smartass. Razz

I guess these ones looked REALLY good though, like they belonged in an actual toy line and stuff. Afterall, if I'm showing my kids or grandkids my action figure and telling lies about how I saved the world, the figure's gotta be really convincing.

Hey, I'm just giving you the budget option. Wink

Or, a third idea might be to make Syd Lexia and Jeebus dolls -- the kind with the pull string. And they could have, y'know, your classic catchphrases.

That made me think of Steve's Martin outburst scene in the hotel in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. The point where he's comparing John Candy to a Chatty Cathy doll. It always cracks me up.

Action figures would be awesome. It'd be cool to have a bunch of action figures of people on here to use in little video sketches. Damn, I haven't done an action figure sketch since an English project on Romeo & Juliet. I wish I had action figures.

RIP Hacker.

Dude, you just opened up a world of hurt for those two guys.

It's time to give us your best Syd Lexia and Dr. Jeebus catchphrases! I'd start, but I don't want the thread to devolve into feces jokes and pedophilia just yet.

I remember about ten years ago Conan O'Brien went to a GI Joe factory and got his own personalized action figure. That figure then went on to be used by Seth Green in a webfilm that would become the prototype for the show Robot Chicken. So, theoretically, if you two do this, you can start doing stop-motion animation with them. Idea

if you look around more with customs, you can find some that look factory perfect. It's what inspired me to start doing it myself. I plan on making THI action figures eventually actually. I don't have a camera to show off my work, but here are some custom figures that other people made.

What's the difference between "Action figure" and "doll", exactly? What's so action packed about it? It just looks like a bunch of sissy girl bullshit to me.
