Hello everyone, hope you're having a fantastic day in the lead up to Thanksgiving!

You folks and this website are rather near and dear to my heart and I've been ruminating that it's been a very long while since we've done any kind of organized event together. The days of forum battles, retro game challenges, and the like may be far behind us, but I'd like to breathe a little bit of camaraderie and joy into our community, especially given new articles being posted, increased Discord activity and even some old friends coming out of the woodwork!

In light of the holidays being right around the corner and after gauging interest, I'd like to formally announce I'll be organizing a Secret Santa this year for our community! We'll have a spending limit of $25, and the only prerequisite is having an Amazon account in order to keep contact information anonymous.

If you'd like to learn more and participate and are not already on the server, please join us over on the Discord server and check out the #secret-santa-2024 channel. Hell, even if you don't wanna participate, I implore you to join us, catch up, and abuse the bot to your heart's content!
