Haha, neat to hear I wasn't the only one who wanted to do that. I'm still rather proud of my version, despite the terrible technical quality. I wanted to get it "out there" on the 'net with the help of file sharing, but sadly it never got there. It coulda been a contenda. It currently exists solely in VCD format as a couple of MPEGs.

It was the first movie I did with Josh Stafford, though, who plays Zack in Press Start. He forgets to bring a character and gets stuck with the absent Marlon's character Snails. And then he spends the entire game trying to kill him.

All the other gamers were named after the actors in the movie in attempt to stave off at least a little confusion (yeah right). And the gamer who plays Damodar ("Dammitall!") even has blue lips. Wink

For the record, it means "twelve or higher". Very Happy

For anyone who's interested, my now-over-5-years-old MST3K-style treatment of the D&D movie is now on YouTube.

http://youtube.com/view_play_list?p=AD8876A248B7647C

Keep in mind that it's, well, over five years old. And shot on a cheap compact VHS camcorder. This was my first movie project of any real length. The joke density is nowhere near as high as it oughtta be, and the camerawork is poor, but if you've got some time to kill I'm sure you'll get some laughs.

It plays more fast-and-loose with the movie than MST3K would do, re-editing some stuff and such, but you'll see when you watch.

Not sure how long it'll STAY on YouTube, but we'll see. Wink

This was pretty well done in the movie "The Gamers", which you should try to track down. I bought it, and watched it like 3 times in a row. If you are or have ever been a Tabletop RPG player you would love this movie.

Here's a link to a review, and where to buy it:

Yep, I own it. They've also just finished a feature length sequel, "Gamers: Dorkness Rising".

Tebor, glad you're getting a kick outta the D&D thing. If you don't want to watch the whole thing, I do recommend watching the kitchen scene at the end of 6 & beginning of 7. That's assuming you've already seen the Antius Guild Maze stuff. Smile

I'm not. I'm the guy behind the camera. And I did the opening Law & Order parody voice over.
