I watched the first half of this movie this morning for the first time since becoming a double digit. I remember liking the film, but I'm surprised by how much I'd forgotten. It still holds up really well. One of those forgotten gems, perhaps?

And Locke plays Howard Hughes!

My only exposure to the film was a Pizza Hut collector's cup I got with my personal pan pizza I won in a BOOK IT award in first grade.

I haven't seen that movie since an HBO free weekend shortly after the theatrical run, but I think about it every time we go to the movies...cause the movie theatre has a Rocketeer poster still. I remember my parents both really liking it though which probably means it stands the test of time.

It was a good movie, but I am still pissed that they changed it from the comics. In the comics, Cliff's girlfriend was Betty, who was a nude model, and was also based ecactly on Bettie Page. In the film her name is Jenny, and she is a Hollywood extra.

Being a huge Bettie Page fan, this irked me a bit.

All in all, a great film, though.

Never knew that. They probably changed it because children were being aimed for a large part of the audience.

Nazis are always fun villains, if done right. Plus, it's nice to see Timothy Dalton in a good movie.

I've always wanted to see it as the only exposure I've had to it was my friend's lunchbox in kindergarten. I don't if I'd like it, but it's one of those things that I have to do or my life will feel worthless.
