Mighty fine action RPG games... Agree? also, the best VG music I've heard in my entire life.

I'm playing Ys 4: Mask of the Sun (English-trans, 2.0) right now, and Ys 5: Kefin, the Lost City of Sand. (you guys have to wait for Aeon Genesis' translation of that)
That goes back to the traditional Zelda-style of gameplay normally associated with action-RPGs. Ys: The Ark of Napishtim on PSP/PS2 is also great, and y'all need to play it.

oh, and if you hadn't played it or any of the games in the series, play it. NOW.

I've played III and I loved it. Can you get/link me to that ROM of 4... that I totally own in real life but want to play on my computer 'n' stuff?

I loved the older games, but I recently tried playing the PSP and PS2 games, and didn't care for them at all. I guess the more simplistic gameplay seemed to fit better on more simplistic systems.

But yes. Great series.
