Holy balls.
So far, this article is delightful! Keep up the good work Syd.
P.S. I actually owned Taboo for the NES as a kid, my dad saw it advertised as an "RPG" on eBbay and thought I would enjoy it, imagine how much fun I had with an extremely bare Tarot simulator as an eleven-year-old.

A new article? On Crystalis??? And here I almost gave up on checking the site regularly.
Anyway, great stuff so far (except for the needless swipe against Nintendo). And Syd, I'd gladly proofread for you since I have a few corrections.
I also want to point out that those enemies are tigers, not bears (or lions, oh my!)

Taboo is one of those oddball games that gets more hate than it deserves. it's barely even a "game", just a fortune cookie generator with mild nudity and a ridiculous warning label

It definitely deserves hate.

Go for it.
Also, sorry progress has been slow. Doing an RPG review is a lot more challenging than I thought.

Good stuff. I really liked Crystalis when I played it a long time ago. Never beat it, though. Got stuck at some point late game, then never went back to it.
Some typos/ weird wording:
"because I owned most of bona fide classics"
"a magicall all-healing inn"
"wouldn't fucking shut about it"
" who runs pasts every enemy"
"The Rabbit Boots allow your character to jump, but like every."
"His name is Akahana, he's merchant,"
"what was up onthat mountain"
And, yeah, the 'bears' are totally tigers.

This is making me want to break out Crystalis and go through it again. I haven't gone through it in years, probably not since before the "end day". ha

I dig it, you should continue this, Syd.
And Etch pointed out errors I noticed.
New goal: Finish this before the 21st anniversary of End Day.

Suuuuuuuper late to the party but for all it's faults Taboo has some rad music, when it's playing music at least.

Happy End Day 2018!
Or at least it would have been if I remembered to post it here and not just to harass Syd.

Happy End Day 2019!
But I forgot about it until a week after. And the article is still nowhere close to done.

Syd needs to come post here more often, and write more articles.
