I thought you were trying to give up fast food.
EDIT: this topic was split from another one

I love how you never name drop. It's always just "fast food", never Taco Bell or The BK Lounge. |
Really? I honestly never realized I did that.
For the record, in my case "fast food" = Jack in the Box 95% of the time for me; its truly my addiction. The occasional BK or Taco Bell sneaks in, as does a VERY occasional Big Mac (I hate McDonalds and how it tastes, but once in a while I get an absolutly overpowering urge to eat a Big Mac, as if secret Ronald McDonald mind-control rays suddenly took over my brain. I always end up regretting eating there though. Its a whole other level of "low quality meat".)

Jack in the Box is on the long list of things I do not miss about California. Just thinking about it now makes me nauseous. I have no idea why, but everything there always tasted either bland or just plain gross.
Except the Sourdough Jack. That was good. I do miss sourdough burgers.

Oh god, when I was in Alaska, I almost had a nervous breakdown from withdrawal. The only fast food place in Fairbanks was a McDonalds, and yeah...ugh.
I will admit that Jack in the Box meat patties by themselves are not very good. However, their burgers with secret sauce are love, their onion rings are fried-MSG filled rings of happiness, and their tacos are the physical proof on this earth that God loves us. I recently tried their buffalo chicken snackers too, those were great and have become my sports-watching snack of choice now.
Except that I don't eat fast food any more and am quitting. Right? *twitch. Twitchtwitch*

fast food isn't the devil like some people try to make it out to be. People tend to forget that when it comes to losing weight it is all about calories and taking in less than your daily value, really nothing else.
Before I get flammed, yes fat and sodium matter. If you have a high amount of fat in your diet you can be skinny as fuck and still have a massive heart attack, fat doesn't affect your weight as much as it effects your arteries. Sodium is a different story, it causes that crappy feeling an hour or two later after the fact because it causes you to retain water because of all the salt in burgers in and fries, which why it is important to go for a light jog for 30 minutes a day so you can get rid of that feeling and still eat fast food.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is my opinion on some fast food joints.
McDonalds- Some people hate McDonalds but it is a cheap way to eat. I love the Iced Coffees,McDoubles,4 Piece Nuggets, Fish Filet during Lent, Ranch BLT. I refuse to eat their fries(too salty and started to suck lately) and the Hot and Spicys(Your basically eating chicken anus and beaks)
Wendys- They use to have the best Premium Chicken Sandwhiches, but everything else on their menu is pretty mediocre. Their fries are the worst fries ever
Burger King- They have the best burgers and fries of the big fast food chains, they just are more greasy.
Jack in Box- They don't have any of these in Tennessee, but I lived in Texas and the Jumbo Jacks were pretty good, fries are pretty descent too. That and Whataburger are found memories of Texas.
Sonic- Great place to get a unique drink and their food is descent, but I only go there when I am only going to spend like 10 bucks, I don't go there alone to eat because i feel guilty for not tipping the bellhops for 3 bucks worth of food. I am not giving someone a 25 cent tip, thats insulting.
KFC- Their Chicken is good but they never have any good value meals under 6 bucks. Also only having Pepsi as a selection sucks. mashpotatoes are good.
Subway- 5 dollars footlongs are great, I just hate the atmosphere in Subway otherwise, the employees make jack shit( I worked there before) and you have people and their fucking banana peppers wanting ass annoying you with their anal rententivness for what they want on their sandwhiches(Some fat ass woman trying to eat better by getting on my nerves or some old cheap ass who comes in everyday you just want to hit in the face).
Pizza Hut- Their food is decent, I can eat there like once a month tops, I always leave there feeling like I gained 5 pounds.
Hardees/Carl Jr's- Underated Place with some good burgers and good fries, but no good combo specials I can think of
Arby's- 4 for 5 deals are great, but few and far between. Their sandwhiches make you feel like a piece of shit for hours

My wife loves Arby's, but there's none nearby. She would kill for some.

Ermac, I agree with you on Pizza Hut. It seems like every time I eat a slice of pizza from there, I can't take a bite out of it without grease dripping all over my chin. However, I strongly disagree with you on Wendy's. While I normally hate cheeseburgers, I'd definitely eat one from there (and White Castle).
SoldierHawk, I used to be addicted to Jack in the Box. Their jalepino poppers and cheese curly fries are absolutely godlike. They also used to have these yummy "breakfast chibatta sandwiches", but the local Jack in the Box stopped serving them.

White Castle is the shit, everything there is good
as for Wendy's, i just have had some bad experiences with shitty food there, their burgers arent bad by any means, they just arent the best.

I disagree with almost everything Ermac said. I love Wendy's and KFC. Although, I've intentionally eaten less at places like that lately for health concerns.

Same here. I've been more of a Domino's guy myself, but then again I try not to eat pizza nowadays. As a matter of fact, I eat very little fast food these days! I sometimes eat at some Mexican food place at my school (Tortilla Fresca, it's called) because their burritoes are cheap, but that's it.
I'm surprised you didn't say anything about Taco Bell, Ermac.

Taco Bell is good, although every time they remove the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito from the 89 cent menu I boycott them for about a week. When it comes to burgers, I definitely prefer Sonic.

Sonic's burgers taste exactly like those of Jack in the Box, IMO. If you're going to Sonic, get a Sausage Breakfast Burrito, largest size, no jalepinos. It is epic.

I usually stick to the dollar menu. 2 Jr. Deluxes with cheese, 2 Jr. Breakfast Burritos, and a large vanilla Dr. Pepper.

F you guys and your damn Sonic. I have to watch their commercials 700 times a day. And, guess what? There are no Sonics were I live. Not in, at least, a 300 mile radius.

Yeah, but do you have Jack in the Box or White Castle anywhere around you? I'd burn down the Sonic if I knew a White Castle would go up in its place.

Having had it a few times, I don't care much for Sonic's burgers and they use the same batter for their French toast sticks that they use for onion rings. I don't want any sweet-tasting onion rings unless you're using Vidalia onions in them. Foot long conie is awesome and anyplace I can get tater tots is great.

We have Jack in The Box, but no White Castles in Oregon, either. But, we don't get their commercials to tease us, like we do with Sonic.

I like Dave's House of Barbecue and Horse Testicles. It's the best restaurant ever. Their rocky mountain oysters are to die for.
