My wife and I took my mother to go see this at the beginning of June and really enjoyed it. The acting was decent, but mostly, it was the monster battles that we went for, and they did not disappoint whatsoever! The Godzilla design was also really cool looking (and far bigger than in most of the films; I mean, we're talking thousands of feet tall). Overall, I was pretty damn satisfied by it. Has anyone else seen this?

Saw it, enjoyed it, looking forward to the sequel which will hopefully have more monster battles. My only complaint is that there could have been more monster battles.

I also saw and enjoyed it. The climax was the kind that gets Chrono Trigger's Last Battle playing in my head.

That seemed to be the primary complaint of many who posted their "reviews" on YouTube... that the film was titled "Godzilla" but barely starred him at all.
I thought the slow build to the battles was appropriate and really helped develop excitement for the last 20 or so minutes of the movie.
But for a sequel, yes... I want to see more Godzilla on screen.

The movie was pretty good. Lots of down time though, and not enough Heisenberg

I wonder if people intentionally make accounts and write this for laughs, or if somebody really tried to make a spam bot and failed.

I saw it with my roommate who is a big Godzilla fan. It was alright, they got the human portion all wrong though, it should have followed Bryan Cranston's character throughout and ditched his stupid son halfway through instead of vice versa.

Maybe you heard the word “SUMO!?†as a distant scream, as thousands impotently begged to understand how such a tone-deaf display of old-school Orientalism could have come to be. When will Jared Leto be stopped, and who among us can do it?
