I never realized this before because I haven't seen this since I was a kid in Disney World, but after viewing this video, it's apparent that the concept of the Borg and the Borg Queen herself were ripped off from Captain Eo:

Captain Eo was one of the best things about Disney World/Epcot Center in the 80s. Michael Jackson was great back then, when his insanity was simple eccentricity instead of just pure insanity.

I edited the subject title to include Eo.

Wow. They have quite the production crew on this. Coppola, Lucas, Horner... and I've never heard of this? I'm going to have to download this because my interest is piqued.

RIP Hacker.

I am familiar with Captain Eo, but I had never seen it before the click. I wasn't lucky enough to visit Disney World until 1999. I missed out on all sorts of cool shit: Captain Eo, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea...

I'm pissed. However I did get to experience the ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter attraction before they turned into some corny Lilo & Stitch bullshit.

Also, Captain EO should not be confused with Captain OE, one of the visual designers of the X-Men arcade game.

No, really.

That's so sad... Actually, Leagues sucked hard. You can still experience the ride on one of the Vault Disney Treasures Collection DVDs... it still sucks though Crying

I, too, experience the ExtraTerror thing before it was turned into a lame Stitch ride. I remember riding it a couple times. The first time was scary but around the fifth time, my friends and I started screaming along with all the pre-recorded stuff. We even took ice-cubes in and chucked them at people yelling they were body parts. It was a blast. I went back a couple years later only to find it had been soften. Very disappointing, and Syd 20,000 Leagues wasn't fun even when I was 6 I don't imagine it'd be much better on DVD.
