Bought it and tried playing it. It's obviously for hardcore gamerz with lots of time on their hands. I just don't have the patience to come home from work at 11pm, spend one hour progressing a little bit, then firing it up again the next day. Decent mechanics and creepy atmosphere, but I just don't have the time to enjoy it.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Honestly the only hard part about the game is how stiff the controls are. It's a fun game for what its worth though.

I guess I linked the fire or something. It looked like I lit on fire, then the game went to a credits sequence instantly. WOW SATISFYING. Totally worth it!

Should have walked out and became the new king.

Lol I thought that as well. "Too hard, not playing it".

You come to realise as you play though, the game isn't hard at all. It just requires a degree of patience and using your brain. It's not like most games these days like your CoDs were you just run about wildly spraying bullets or your Zelda: <insert bomb here to kill the boss>

I mean there are some tricky parts but overall once you know what you are doing and understand what the hell everything is the game becomes really fun.

What's the one people say is like Zelda? Darksiders, or Dark Souls? I always get the two confused.

User's right. From what I've heard, Darksiders takes its queues from a lot of games, and basically polishes them very well. I'll probably snatch it during the next Steam sale, but I kind of don't want to get Darksiders 2, because it looks like someone smoked a whole bunch of crack then swallowed the souls of Maduirera and MacFarlane, then was hired to do character designs.

I have not really played it much, but I got Darksiders on the 360 on demand when THQ was having a sale a few months back and it was only 5 bucks. Pretty good deal outside of that ridiculous Steam one.

I think Dark Souls feels heavily inspired by Majora's Mask, honestly. It's got that weirdofuck vibe.

Dark Souls always reminded me a little of Castlevania. The monsters and the scenery could be ripped of directly from a Castlevania game.
