My guess as to why he is selling is wife/girlfriend forcing him to.

Well given the time of year I am thinking the sale is a result of our good old friends at the IRS calling.
That or some sort of online porn addiction that he wasn't smart enough to find for free online to support instead of paying for and racking up a huge credit debit with a high interest rate.
Amateur, nobody should pay for porn.

Omg I actually started to salivate while going through that list! Makes me wish I wasn't so damn poor. As to why anyone would want to actually sell an amazing collection such as that I can't imagine.

I believe I answered the question as to why someone would sell such a collection, please see above.

Apparently he's just out of room. Where he got so much space to store it all to begin with I can't even imagine.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can. |

Yeah, the guy must definitely be doing pretty decent money-wise just to have the storage room to keep all that stuff in. What the guy really needs, in my opinion, is a good sized guest house so he can not only keep all that in but so he can keep some of it hooked up and play it whenever. I know that's what I would do. But then again, I'm terrible when it comes to managing money and that might not be the smartest investment...

If this guy wasn't selling the whole thing off at once, and instead selling parts of it, I would want everything you see here, of course. It'd most likely be expensive just because of the MOTHER/EarthBound boxed copy, but a great way to get my planned MOTHER/EarthBound collection off to a great start.
That NES EarthBound is a reproduction, though. In fact, there seems to be a few non-original things here, like the "FAMICONBOX" shown near the end of the image gallery.
EDIT: Turns out the FamiconBox is legit.

He should start a museum with all of it...assuming he doesn't get his asking price.

I agree, he could probably fill one up with a collection like that. One man shouldn't have all that to himself anyway considering it would be almost impossible to actually enjoy all of it.

The only problem I see with this is that anyone (at least, that I can think of) interested in video games enough to spend this much money on them likely already has most of the games in this collection.
